What changed in the new library website search feature?

The new search feature reorganizes the tabs and adds several tools designed to make finding library resources faster and more flexible:
A new Browse view appears on the library homepage and returns results from articles, books and media, journal titles, research guides, and library website pages side by side, so you can compare across content types in a single search.
Search with AI is a new toggle next to the search box. When enabled, AI expands your natural-language question into a boolean search across the catalog, and you can edit the generated boolean directly and re-run the search.
The old Everything tab is now Full Catalog, and Books, Articles, and Video/Film are filters underneath it rather than separate tabs. Course Reserves moved into the catalog's scope dropdown. Journals is still its own tab, now called Journals/Periodicals.
Voice-to-text input lets you click the microphone icon and speak your search instead of typing. This works in the Chrome browser at this time.
New tabs for Find a Database, Guides, and Website give you direct routes to the A–Z database list, librarian-curated research guides, and library web pages without needing to leave the search experience.
