We cannot use a VPN service or DoIT's Virtual Sinc Desktop to get access to the library's e-resources.
The way to connect to library subscription resources from off campus is through searches on the library website and databases. When accessing a resource, you will be prompted to enter your NetID and password.
If you are not using the library website and databases, there is a work around by adding the proxy string http://proxy.library.stonybrook.edu/login?url= before the publisher's url or by adding the "SBU Libraries Proxy This" script by dragging the link to your browser’s bookmark bar.
