A recall is when a the borrowing period for a checked out item is shortened by the library. This typically happens for one of the following reasons:

  • The item is needed for Reserves.
  • The lending library has a patron who has requested the item.

Recalled items that are not returned are assessed an overdue fine of $1/day ($90 max.)
