You can use Dissertations & Theses @Stony Brook, which has citations and/or access to the full-text (1997-present) of dissertations and theses authored by graduates of SBU. Use the link below, or go to the library homepage, click on  DATABASES in the blue search box in the upper left corner, then select the letter D, then scroll down till you see the database.  Next to it, you will also see Dissertations & Theses Full-Text, which includes the dissertations from Stony Brook and ones from other universities.

For material before 1997 or dissertations not available in the above database, you can search the library catalog.  Click on the CATALOGS in the blue search box in the upper left corner of the library homepage, click STARS,  then use the Format limiter and select  DISSERTATION. From there you can search using keyword, author, subject, etc.

If you don't find anything there either, you can contact one of the librarians listed in the online guide to Dissertations at Stony Brook in the link below.  That guide has more information on dissertations as well.
