It depends what you're looking for.  There are several journals available to Stony Brook affiliated patrons.  These are American Journal of Law & Medicine, Issues in Law & Medicine, Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics, Journal of Medicine and Law, and Medicine and Law Weekly.

There are various books at the Health Sciences and Melville Libraries.  There is a hardcopy law collection in the Documents area of Melville Library.  We have some legal information that could be found through LexisNexis and our medical databases.  There is also online access to government laws, rules and regulations through FDsys at http://www.fdsys.gov and http://www.usa.gov

New York State laws are available in the law collection, via LexisNexis and at the New York State Department of Health website (http://www.health.ny.gov/regulations/) and at NYSED.gov's Office of the Professions

Other sources could be the databases PubMed, Science Direct and other various medical journals.
