You can apply for a postion as a Library Assistant without having a social security number (SSN), but as you know, you must have your SSN in order to START working.

If you apply, and there is a postion available that you are qualified for and approved for, you need to request a letter of intent to hire for the Library Director's office to begin the employment process.
