When you see the term "in process" associated with an item in the catalog it means that the item has been ordered and received, and is currently being processed for our collection.  Processing includes creating a catalog record and assigning the item a call number.  After an item is processed its status will be updated online, and it will be available to the public for check out or --for some items like reference materials-- use in the library.
